Acoustic tester and calibrator for AD700/AD800

The ADT 700 is a unique tester for testing detectors in the AD 700 series as well as the AD 800-AM. The tester emits a spectrum of signals with special frequencies and sound levels. The acoustic sound from the ADT 700, which arises in the room, is received by the detector via a broadband microphone. The signals are filtered, processed, and evaluated.

The microprocessor compensates for early reflections and selects the best algorithm for the detector's placement to ensure maximum detection capability. Sound signals undergo dramatic changes as they travel from the broken glass through the room to the detector.

The detectors in the AD series therefore have three different settings, each with its own algorithm. With the ADT 700 tester, it is possible to test which setting is the most suitable for each installation. The detector measures the characteristic signal, and the processor gives the installer a recommendation on which setting is best for each installation.
