Bavarian SimTec Alpha Standard — GT Wheel for Simracing
The Alpha Standard is the same GT platform as the Advanced – CNC-milled 6061 aluminum, Adaptive Beam Tec, and Multi-Link-Selector – but with magnetic shifter paddles (without butterfly and double clutch). A lighter entry into the Bavarian SimTec Alpha series.
- CNC-milled two-shell construction in 6061 aircraft aluminum (295 mm)
- Standard: 2× magnetic shifter paddles in lightweight aluminum
- Adaptive Beam Tec – ABS/TC status at a quick glance
- Multi-Link-Selector: up to 33 adaptive inputs via central encoder
- 12 RGB pushbuttons, 2 thumbwheels, and 2× 7-way switches
- 112 individually controllable LED lights (SimHub compatible)
- Grips in 60A antistatic silicone rubber with 13° thumb tilt
- PC – Support for Asetek, Simucube, Fanatec, VRS, Simagic, and MOZA
Housing and Design
The housing, including the grip inserts, is CNC-milled from a solid block of 6061 aircraft aluminum for maximum torsional rigidity. The innovative two-shell construction (295 mm diameter) with rear mounting brackets provides a smooth surface and a seamless look on the front.
Precise laser-engraved logos and markings complement the technical finish – form follows function.
Grips with 13° Tilt
The Alpha grips are made from 60A antistatic silicone rubber for a comfortable, secure hold – with or without gloves. The 13-degree thumb tilt provides increased control and less fatigue during long driving sessions.
The grips are spacious enough for larger hands without feeling bulky, integrating into the wheel's robust silhouette.
Adaptive Beam Tec
Adaptive Beam Tec redefines rotary encoders: ABS and TC information is visible at a glance. The Alpha detects which car you're driving and adjusts the profiles. Yellow for dry conditions, blue for wet. A green number indicates the current setting; red indicates the off-state.
Multi-Link-Selector
Use the central encoder to select modes and control adaptive inputs, visualized with LEDs. Instead of three simple inputs, you get 8×2×2+1 = 33.
How it works: press and turn the encoder (1) to switch between 8 modes; turn (1) to change the value; rotate the thumbwheel (2) for a second value within the same mode. Example: mode VOL – master volume via (1), in-game volume via (2).
Inputs and LEDs
Twelve RGB pushbuttons (500 gf, four LEDs per button), two large thumbwheels with distinct detents, two 7-way switches in a raised tower design, and three rotary encoders with Adaptive Beam Tec. All placed to maintain your grip.
With 112 individually controllable LEDs, you can customize color schemes and animations – ready-made profiles or your own via SimHub.
Standard Shifter Paddles
The Standard variant comes with two magnetic shifter paddles made of lightweight aluminum. Butterfly paddles and a double clutch are not included in this variant (available on the Alpha Advanced).
