PSV 24130–XLarge – Powerful and Redundancy-Safe Power Supply

The PSV 24130–XLarge is an advanced power supply unit with integrated battery charging and space for two 12 V/40 Ah batteries.
The product meets the requirements of EN 50131-6:2008, Alarm Class 3, and Environmental Class II, making it ideal for security-critical installations in alarm and industrial applications.

The unit is equipped with Alarmtech's unique ViP function (Voltage in Parallel). ViP enables parallel connection of multiple power supply units on the same supply loop – both plus (+) and minus (–) – without the need for additional synchronization. Connected units automatically share the load, making it easy to build distributed, redundant, and fail-safe power supply systems. By placing multiple ViP units along the loop, voltage drops can also be effectively compensated.

The voltage conversion is based on a high-frequency SMPS resonance regulator with high efficiency and low heat generation, which protects the batteries and extends their lifespan.
The processor-controlled battery charging uses constant voltage and limited current – the most gentle and efficient method for maximum battery life.

The PSV 24130–XLarge has built-in self-diagnostics that continuously monitor mains voltage, battery status, output voltage, and fuses.
The system detects, among other things, mains voltage failure, low battery voltage, high battery resistance, unconnected batteries, and overload.
Deep discharge protection automatically disconnects the batteries at critically low voltage.
