Seismic Detector VD500

The seismic detector VD 500 provides secure detection and high resistance to false alarms when mounted on steel or concrete objects such as gun safes, payment terminals, ATMs, cash boxes, concrete walls, etc. It detects intrusion attempts with explosives and mechanical tools such as diamond drills, cutting discs, grinders, and thermal tools. The VD 500 has digital signal processing (DSP) with an advanced detection algorithm. This means the detector has high detection capability and high immunity to environmental interference. The detector has 3 separate detection channels, integration channel (detects weak signals), count channel (up to 4 events), and explosion channel (detects strong, short-duration signals). Sensitivity and the type of object to be protected are selected via DIP switches. The detector is small in size, making it suitable for mounting where space is limited. When mounting, ensure the detector has good contact with the surface. For mounting on concrete and brick walls, the special mounting plate MP 500 with an expansion bolt must always be used. In challenging environments, outdoors or indoors, a special enclosure, WH 400, with a built-in heating element should be used to maintain a suitable temperature and humidity for the detector. The VD 500 is equipped with a visual alarm indication (LED), a temperature sensor that alarms at 98°C, tamper protection against removal and opening of the enclosure, and a self-test generator with a separate input for controlling self-testing.
